Crackin' me up...

Kade walking all too natural in my heels.

Walking out of the bathroom to find you-know-who on top of the table.
My expression was similar to the picture below.

Using the cell phone charger as his microphone while singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" & telling us "I am David Cook."  Too much AI at our house, I suppose.

Memorial Day Weekend 2002

We (along with Shane's parents) were able to spend some time in May 2002 with Scott & Keri & their family while Scott was attending dental school in Maryland.  We did some touring of Baltimore and Washington D.C. while we were there.  Here is a glimpse of what we were able to see.  There is so much to see and do in Washington D.C.  We would love to go back someday. Thanks again for a fun time Scott & Keri. (Even if  while following Scott he led us into the ghetto of Washington D.C. where we were fearful for our lives) :-)
Pre-kids...we looked so young.  Kids will really age you huh?

Inner Harbor in Baltimore

Washington D.C.

1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
(Note the sniper on the roof)
Cool to see the White House in person.  Surprising to me that it was
right in the middle of the city.  Go a few blocks and you are in the ghetto.

Air & Space Museum...spent a lot of time there.  Wonder why?

Scott & Shane in the Flight Simulator @ the Air & Space Museum.

Iwo Jima Monument

Changing of the guards...very cool.  Read some interesting facts here.

Tomb of The Unknown Soldier.

Reagan National Airport, along the Potomac River.

We were lucky enough to see Arlington Cemetary over the Memorial Weekend, when they put a flag on every grave.  Amazing.

Arlington Cemetary.  Sea of headstones.

Fort McHenry
Our favorite stop of the trip.  Location where Francis Scott Key wrote the words to "The Star Spangled Banner."  Since being there, the National Anthem takes on a whole new meaning when I sing it.  Hard to tell in the picture but that flag is HUGE!

Vietnam Memorial/Washington Monument

Rubbing of my dad's brother's name from the Vietnam Memorial Wall.
Died Oct. 3, 1968.
He was a newlywed when he died @ the age of 23.

Thankful for his sacrifice.

So much fun to be one!

Sunday afternoon we had a little get together for Kendal's 1st birthday.  Grandpa & Grandma Munson, Tyler & Erika's family, Brian & Kaori's family & Aunt Kathy were all there to celebrate with us. (Grandpa & Grandma Edwards watched her dig into her cake, thanks to ichat.) Dad BBQed hamburgers & hotdogs and we had a nice afternoon enjoying this fun little girl and the nice weather outside.  Can't believe that she is a year old.  Time flies!

Ready for the birthday bash!

Wow...can't wait to get my hands in that.

Mmmmm...cupcakes.

Talking sports while Kendal opened all her gifts.

A little help from Kademan.

For me?

Grandpa & Grandma Munson drove up and back just for the party.  Thanks for coming.

Grandma & Grandpa Edwards...live from Louisville.

This is giving me a tummy ache! (But it sure is good)

Shane didn't want to be left out of the fun.

Too much excitement for little Chris.

Calvin...taking it all in.

All cleaned up and ready to play.

Hold on!

Warming up a little.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FAVORITE GIRL.
WE LOVE YOU!

Has it been a year?

Happy Birthday Kendal!

Can't believe that a year has come and gone!
This little girl has been so much fun.  She is so full of personality and is always smiling.
(even when she was sick with throw-up down the front of her and a sore bum from diarrhea)

She is such a blessing to our family.   We can't get enough of her sweet dimples and blue eyes. I could kiss on her for hours! Kendal is such a little teaser and is always looking to have fun.  Whenever there is fun to be had...she wants in.  I can tell already that we will have a lot of fun together as she grows older. Kade is so excited when she wakes up from her nap.  He runs in and says, "Kendal is awake!"
Then I hear. . ."Did you have a good nappers peanut?"  He is a great older brother and loves his sister.

We love you little bean and are so happy to have you as part of our family...we can't imagine life without you.

Crazy pilot!

GTU for my b-day

Thanks to JoAnn, Candi & Vanessa for the fun day out yesterday.

I was able to sit by Nicea. (Shane's secret crush)
Check out Vanessa's blog for better pics.

"I love technology. But, not as much as you, you see. But, I still love technology."

No internet.

No phone.

No t.v.

Need to have more nights like this.
