Spreading the holiday cheer!

Because I was the lucky winner of this last week (I was really wanting that cute advent calendar :)) & because I love Christmas books I am paying it forward & giving away a copy of this:

I read "The Christmas Sweater" by Glenn Beck (the non-childrens' book last year)
and la-oved & recommend it.
It has such a great meaning! When I saw that they had an illustrated children's book out this year...I bought several copies. Although, it isn't exactly like the full-length book, I wanted my kids to catch a glimpse of what the true meaning of Christmas is. This book does that.

To be entered, leave a comment telling your favorite holiday tradition & if you put this on your blog, leave another comment to get another entry. Contest will end December 15th.
Hoping you are all enjoying the spirit of Christmas as much as I am!

15 telling it like it is:

I have never seen that book. It looks really cute. I will have to check it out. We read the last straw this year and are implementing that story to help the Christmas spirit at our house.
Your kids are probably still a little young for that one though.

YAY!!! A christmas Book, I'm so excited! I try to get some new ones every year so I can cuddle up by the tree with the kiddo's and read each night.
Our favorite tradition is probably cutting down our own tree. Oh and I put this on my blog.
Heres hoping i win!!

I am actually scheduled to read this book in my daughters class on the very day your contest ends! I haven't read it, but I have heard good things. Our favorite traditon is going to stay in a cabin with my husbands whole family. A little stressful getting there and there is ALWAYS drama before-hand, but we love it once we are there... This weekend!! yeah!

My dad would never let us go into the front room to see what Santa had left until after he'd built a fire in the stove and we'd made him hot chocolate. It was torture, but one of my favorite memories now. My new favorite tradition is the Bott party at Cole's grandma's house. Lots of little kiddos getting excited about the gift exchange!

I have never read this book, sounds good! Our favorite holiday tradition is probally when the kids have a treasure hunt out in the snow after it is dark and they get a new flashlight to look for the goodies. We did it when we were kids now my kids enjoy it every christmas eve.
p.s. Love the snow falling on your blog:)

We love to go look at the Christmas lights in Canyon View Park on a snowy night. Santa came to our house on Christmas Eve last year, maybe it will become a new tradition.

I've heard of this book, but never read it. Every year we have a super-duper yummy breakfast and it always involves butterschotch bubble bread.

My parents gave the original book to each of my siblings last year. I really enjoyed reading it! I would love to see how he turned it into a children's book. Our tradition is that we have two elves that come to our house on December 1st and stay until the 24th. They are Mr. Happy and Mr. Goody. They move around at night to keep an eye on the kids during the day. The kids love waking up and finding where they are "hanging" out for the day. They report back to Santa Claus on Christmas eve to tell him if they have been naughty or nice. It is a great motivator for the month to encourage the kids to be good.
