WNO

Had no idea that Witches Night Out was such an event!
Thousands of cacklin' women...and a few brave men.
Had a great time out with the girls @ Gardner Village.
Plenty o' people watchin' for sure.  Loved the ABBA witches.
I'm thinking Shannon may have their picture posted sometime?
(kidnapped the pic from Candi's blog .thanks. my camera was mia)

Halloween for the dogs

If I were to dress up Hank & Boo for Halloween, I would totally get these costumes.
The cheerleader costume cracks me up.

Red Barn

We hit the Red Barn last week along with Kade's preschool group.
Shane happened to be home, so he and Kendal came along.  The kids had a great time on the hay ride & picking out some pumpkins and we all enjoyed the yummy cider cake donuts.  YUM.

Right now

Heidi tagged me on this.
Cute idea. Here goes.

Right now Amanda loves...
-After dinner  stroller walks with the kids & Boo.
Conversation heard may be, "C'mon mom, race that car."
"Kendal ate all the Marshmallow Mateys again."
"It smells like Old McDonald." (as we pass the cow pasture)
-Jonagold apples
-Her Sonicare toothbrush...pure heaven!

-SNL skits of the Presidential debates

Right now Amanda does NOT love...

-That Shane cleaned out our window wells and found over a dozen Black Widows.  Yowzers!  (we have since sprayed) LOVES that she wasn't the one that had to climb down in the window wells!
-The economy
-Whiney kids

Right now Kade loves...
-Toy Story
-The BYU football media guide (he sleeps with it)
-Preschool
-Playing Elmo games on the computer
-"Hankster buddy" (his dog)

Right now Kade does NOT love...
-Pooping in the potty (he says it scares him)
-Eating breakfast
-That mom can't find a "Woody" costume for Halloween
-Sitting in timeout

Right now Kendal loves...
-Fruit snacks, fruit snacks & fruit snacks
-Pulling out EVERYTHING in the pantry
-Throwing all her food to Boo
-Teasing Kade
-Shoooes!

Right now Kendal does NOT love...

-Being strapped in her carseat
-Tomatoes
-Being told no
-Having her hair done

Play along ...if you please.  :)

I did it!

It's official.

He is a big boy, sporting big boy underwear for the past week.
He has had his eye on the coveted Dinoco Chick Hicks for awhile. (Surprisingly, he doesn't have it)
So I told him when he went without accidents for 2 days & actually did the big deed (he has had issues with #2) in the potty, he could get it.  (I let him pick out another that he doesn't have just because I was so proud)
Those Disney folks really know how to market to these kids I tell ya.
He was thrilled!  I am even more thrilled.  Down to 1 in diapers now.  Yippeee!
Good job Kademan!

Project complete

Finished 50 cards from this cute Simply Scrappin' kit from Stampin' Up.

With a little added glitter and ribbon, I was excited at how they turned out.
Shannon  a.k.a. "The Stampin' Up Queen" had a little get-together last week to make these and I didn't get mine finished.  Good thing I had some extra time today or else I may have never got this done...would have been tucked away with many of the other unfinished things I once started.  Perfect Conference listenin' project.

While I did this...

The kids did this to every room of the house...

Gives me another project I guess.  :-)

Hubby tag

Tagged by Rachelle

1. Where did you meet your husband?
At a co-ed softball game.
We were set up by a friend.  It was only supposed to be a summer fling!

2. How long did you date before you married?  Around 13 months  (Long distance.  Cedar to Logan)

3. How long have you been married?
8 years (married in 2000) Should be pretty easy to remember right?

4. What does he do that surprises you?
He has pulled off a couple of surprise birthday parties with friends from Bountiful & Payson. Neither time did I have any idea.

5. What is his best feature?
Beautiful blue eyes (that both kids have inherited...yes!)

6. What is his best quality?
He doesn't judge others and is always giving people the benefit of the doubt.
He is a great dad & loves being with our kids.
He is a perfectionist.  Spends hours on the yard each week & has the cleanest dog kennel you have seen. You should see his suitcase packing procedure when he gets ready for work. Very methodical! (Oops...that is more than one quality)

7. Does he have a nickname for you?
:-)

8. What is his favorite food?   Ribs (but he is picky, they have to be just right)

9. What is his favorite sport? As a player, baseball.  As a fan, college football.

10. When & where was your first kiss? Mesquite, NV

11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple?  Dates to BYU & Jazz games.  Yes, I really do like to go.

12. Do you have children? Yes.  2 kids.  2 dogs.

13. Does he have any hidden talents?
Yes, he is the "Dog Whisperer."  He has a good singing voice too.

15. Who said I love you first? Booie.  "I love you.  No, I love you."  (Shane did)

16. What is his favorite music? None really.  Listens to sports talk radio.

17. What do you admire most about him?  His work ethic, whether it is working in the yard, his job or his church calling...he gets things done. He has a huge heart and is willing to help anyone, with nothing expected in return.

18. What is his favorite color? Blue

19. Will he read this? Yes.  He is one of my faithful followers.

20.  I tag:  Rachel, Brooke, Amber, Sara & Rani.

Conference goodies

Found this fun idea for my VT  here.
Maybe, just maybe I will do these.  Think it is a cute idea nonetheless.
Looking to keep the kids (or yourself) entertained?  print this out.

Love Conference Weekend.
Usually involves yummy snacking, a project of some sort and lounging around here.
Would love to hear how you spend your Conference weekend.
(traditions, good recipes ,etc.)
Enjoy!
