Bring Your Wife to Work Day

Shane had a 30+ hr layover in Edmonton last weekend.  He so kindly invited me to come along with him.  Such a nice treat to get away for a couple days, sans kids!  (Thanks Erika for taking the kiddos)

Spent the day here.   Shopping, eating, people-watching & spending time together. We also saw this.  Not a huge Star Trek fan, but Captain Kirk kept my interest & made the movie bearable.

This was his assumed position as I spent too long at H&M & Sephora.  Such a great sport!
Found it interesting that the toy store we were in to grab something for the kids, also sold bongs & marijuana pipes.  Guess they do things a little different in Canada, eh?

Thanks for the fun weekend Shane.  It was good for me to go along while you worked and get a taste of life on the road.  It is not easy.  Thanks for all you do for our family!

A little backed up

So I am way behind on posting what I want here.  Things have been crazy busy...but good crazy busy.  I will be playing catch-up for awhile with pics...so bear with me or click away if you don't want picture overload.  Sorry for the binge & purge of photos.

Disneyland  April 2009

Minnie!

Love this girl...

and this boy!

Jamie & Brooke
(the other "Pilot's Wives members")

Minnie @ her house.

The Flying Wilsons.

The Rees clan.

Shane had a rough-go with the Coke spillage this trip.
(3 7-11 Cokes that is)

Candy Cane Inn

These two kept us in line.  Did my heart good to know Hallie and Kendal were two peas in a pod. Tantrums & all.  This fun age will pass right?

Don't ride this first thing in the morning.

Kendal loved "A Bug's Life."

Kade was quite smitten by Sophie.

and Piper. and Paris. (no pic)  He was quite the ladie's man.

My greatest joys!

Mater!  Boy was he happy to see him.

Not so sure about "It's a Small World."

Brooke (Miss I Can Do Anything)
She is so on top of things.  I want to be like her when I grow up!

Our mode of transportation.

Tuckered out dads.

Love the "puke shields."

Pluto!

Thanks for a great trip Wilson & Rees families.
Can't wait to do it again.

Our favorite time of year...SPrINg

Shane & I love spring.  I really love that Shane likes to work in the yard.  We have spent many-a-days outside this spring working in the yard and have loved the mild weather.  I am looking forward to fresh veggies from the garden.   Shane even boobie-trapped the butterfly tree that Hank got a hold of.  Thanks for all your hard work!

Happy Birthday Kendal

We celebrated Kendal's birthday on Sunday evening when Shane finished up his trip.
We BBQed, along with Grandma & Grandpa Edwards and the Lehi Munson gang.
Can't believe my baby is 2!

She's 2!
Bashful...
The look when we started to sing.
She wasn't sure about being in the spotlight.

Takes after her mom!
Dad got her a mitt that lights up.

Her first Barbie.
Reaction to the Cozy Coupe.

She knows how it is done.

Note to self:  Put car together ahead of time...missing parts.
Made a run to Toys-R-Us the next day.  She didn't even mind it didn't have wheels.

She waited so patiently as Shane put it together.

Crazy about her coupe!

Love her!

2 so soon?

My baby girl is no longer a baby!  Can't believe she is two. (sniff, sniff)  Her personality has sure blossomed in the past 6 months or so.  She loves to tease & is quite the jokester.
Just a few things that make Kendal...well Kendal.
  • She LOVES shoes.  I somehow passed my shoe fetish along to her in the womb, I am afraid.

  • A girl after my own heart...she loves to eat and is serious about it.  We refer to her as the "cleanup eater" around here.  If there is anything left on the table, she finishes it off.  (and usually makes a big mess in the process)

  • She is the best helper & refuses to be left out of anything.  You can find her sitting on Shane's lap to help him put all the pins & badge on his shirt when he is getting ready for work.  She also loves to help empty the dishwasher.  The silverware is her favorite.  She gets a tupperware bowl and puts the silverware in it to transport to the drawer. (we will work on sorting next)  I can tell she will be such a great help as she gets older.

  • Her DIMPLES!  Can't get enough of them.  I especially love when she has food crusted in them.  Completely cracks me up.
  • Her multi-tasking abilities & fashion sense.
  • Finding this situation...more often than I want to admit. Smearage of lipstick everywhere.
  • She loves her brother & wants to do everything he does.

We sure love this girl and are so blessed to have her in our family.  As crazy as it seems at times, I truly enjoy her & have realized how fast time goes by.  Kendal you are loved!
