For our newly installed alarm system.
Resting a lot easier when Shane is away,
especially after all that took place in the area a couple of weeks ago.

For parents (and Aunt Kathy & Amy) that went all out and made Thanksgiving SO SO good! I look forward to chicken soup and mashed potatoes every Thanksgiving, along with stuffing & currant jelly. You can't beat leftover pumpkin & coconut cream pie for breakfast either.
I saw how much work you did, while we simply showed up & ate.
Thank you! Thank you!

For a job in this economy. Although Shane was eating dry turkey at a hotel restaurant with his crew, I was reminded to be thankful for the #1 Captain around here and his job. There are a lot worse things in life than having to work on a holiday right? Dry turkey is one of those. :)

For 2 new sweet nieces that I got to snuggle on.
Might have eased a little of the baby hunger around here...at least for awhile.
(Didn't snap a pic of baby Kayla)

For the 1st annual family BuNCo game after dinner. Good times & fun prizes!
(My apologies to the Robinson family... Kendal found some scissors and cut up their 2005 Tax Return while we were in the midst of our game. Refer the IRS here if you are audited.)

For two sweet kids. They make my life crazy and complete!
Also, for older nieces & nephews that entertain,
share their toys, slumber party with, tolerate and help with the kiddos.

For the best traveling weather along with Lady & the Tramp.
Made my driving alone a synch.

For the BEST kind of Black Friday shopping...that would be done whilst I slept by a die-hard shopper friend that so kindly took my list. Thanks again!

For "CUTIE" season that is now upon us.
(I think I ate 1/2 bag myself while in Parowan & another 1/2 bag since yesterday.)

For the 2 dogs we have...and not a pet gecko. We have the chance to "pet sit" the neighbors gecko this week. The kids are loving it but I think feeding and taking care of 2 dogs is MUCH easier than feeding a gecko live crickets and mill worms. oooh!

For a rivalry game that turned in their favor.
Thankful that I DON'T have to hear for the next year (from the above mentioned #1 Captain)
"how" BYU blew it. :)

Blind Side

While the rest of the world (it seems) is looking forward to or saw the midnight showing of New Moon this weekend...I can't wait to see this. (I will probably see New Moon but not on the opening weekend, maybe I'll even wait til' it hits RedBox) Shane just finished reading The Blind Side and is waiting for me to finish before we go see it.

Who doesn't love a good inspirational sports flick? I guess me...one of the few who hasn't committed to "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob." :)

Because I don't want to forget...

the excitement of a 4-yr old boy that went pheasant hunting with dad. (& actually bagged a few birds)

the 2-yr old girl that went to Build-A-Bear while said 4-yr old was hunting. hasn't stopped talking about her day out with mom. may have a future cosmetologist on our hands as well. she loves to give "hair-tuts."

kid's faces when I told them to go ahead & eat their play-doh. made this and told them to eat all they wanted. they thought it was great.

jam sessions in the living room. special performances of "Don't Stop Believin," "Old Blue Chair" & "How much is that doggy in the window?" i see Guitar Hero & Rock Band in the near future. santa?

potty-training bubble gum & Baby Ah-choo. now if she will just figure out that she can't stand to pee like Kade, we will be golden on the PT.

who says that you can't wear tights over your pants, along with cowboy boots?

despite all the bickering...they can be the best of friends.

Focusing on the month of gratitude

Some of the many things I am thankful for:

  • Dippidee cupcakes. How have I not ever been there til now? Trouble I tell ya.
  • 2 separate "blood everywhere" accidents with the little bean Kendal. Luckily, no trips to the ER were made. Let's just say a chopper blade falling in the pantry on her head and a tooth through the tip of her tongue.
  • YW in Excellence is over!
  • For not being kicked out of BUNCO for being the "most points" winner for 3 months in a row. Promise. Not cheating.
  • Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel...basement is almost complete.
  • That we were all able to get our H1N1 vaccinations without much of a wait...now hoping that we can get the 2nd installment of the nasal mist for the kids.
  • For my 2 favorite little people (minus the whining of course).
  • The newly installed (not gold and shiney) cute dead bolt on the front door. No more of Ms. Kendal escaping across the street to Grandma Cookies' house.
  • For staying healthy (knock on wood) & for Germ-X "hanitizer" as Kade calls it.
  • That my staph infected fingernail has fallen completely off. No more snags. Nasty. Just glad to still have my finger right?
  • Turbo Jam...my best therapy. I need it a few more times a week though.
  • Unseasonably warm weather that we have been enjoying to the fullest.
  • Soup season that is in full session. Lots of soup on the menu here.
  • Catching up on a few shows on hulu.com. Loving Modern Family btw. (thanks Erika) Again...where have I been?

Moving right along...
