I know that everyone is bombarded with sweets right now but I must post the yummiest recipe for fudge. I had this last year and decided to make it this holiday. I am not a fan of fudge usually, but this isn't your run of the mill fudge. More like a toffee buttery melt in your mouth fudge. I had it for breakfast & lunch today.
Trust me...you won't be disappointed.
Symphony Fudge
4 C sugar
1 pint whipping cream
2 large Symphony toffee/almond bars (you can use Reeses, Hersheys, etc.)
2 sticks butter
In large pot mix the sugar & cream. Stir well and bring to boil.
While boiling, add 2 sticks of butter. (Do not touch the sides or bottom of pan while stirring in the butter.)
Boil to the soft-ball stage(230 degrees), using a candy thermometer.
Add the Symphony bars and beat with an electric mixer.
Pour into a greased 9x13 pan and chill for 5-6 hours.
YUM!
3 telling it like it is:
This is the heroin of the candy world!
Oh my gosh!
Good thing I don't have whipping cream in my fridge right now.
Sounds like a yummy breakfast. (and lunch)
I MAY have to try it.
yeah. I'm back to print out your recipe.
I'll keep you updated.
