Whatever, Martha!

So I have a little issue some nights that consists of...not sleeping.   This is the one good thing that has come from my lack of sleep.

My new favorite show...

Whatever, Martha!

I stumbled upon this in the wee hours of the morning on FLN (Fine Living Network).  Didn't even know it existed.  Anywho...seriously funny show.  It has Martha Stewart's daughter Alexis and usually a guest and they watch old episodes of Martha doing her thing.  Ya know transporting house plants from one of her several homes to another vacation home or making some ornate useless organization box or something.  Real useful info.   Well, they give their own little commentary and jabs while watching the episodes. Kind of a spoof on what she is doing.  

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Martha.  Many memories of my college roommates & I doing some holiday decorating with our Martha Stewart magazine in hand.  Like colorful paper ornaments for our Christmas tree & borrowing my dad's electric drill to drill holes in the many pumpkins filled with white lights that lined our balcony for Halloween.

So check your guide and set your dvr...if you are a Martha fan you won't be disappointed.

Dentist update

It was all fun and games. Literally.  Trains in the waiting room, a talking cow on the wall, video games, etc.  Until the hygienist told him she was done cleaning his teeth and the "Dentist" would be right in...that was it.  He heard the "D" word and was done.  Screaming, crying & not having it.  End of story.  We will be back in May to fill the cavity.  We just might have to steer clear of mentioning the "D" word next time. Dr. Fang, Tooth-counter, Skull-Crusher...maybe we can come up with something.

Double take

Ok...everytime I am on Facebook, the following picture is on the sidebar and I have to take a second look at it.  Fellow Parowan-ites...who does this look like to you?  

(Yes...it is Katie Holmes I know that, but she sure looks like someone else we all know)  

I may even throw out a prize if you get it right.  

He loves the dentist...not!

Poor Kade...I guess after this he decided no more dentist.  (Too bad I don't have the picture of my sister and I after we had cavities filled.  My mom thought it was so funny to get a picture with our crooked smiles) Kade will love me for this!

After the 3rd failed attempt to get Kade back to the dentist this past week...all I can do is try to find some humor to get me by.  This clip is doing the trick. (thanks JR)  Wish us luck at the Pediatric dentist next week!

Is it April 15th yet?

This working business is getting in the way of my blogging time.  April 15th can't come soon enough.  Shane has been doing a great job Mr. Mommin' it here at home on his days off.  He also wrote a nice post here about our baseball crazy boy.  If I can't blog...he will! :)  Along with doing the laundry, dishes, grocery shopping...he has been awesome!
