Easter weekend fun

Shane had to work for the weekend...the kids were wishing to go along with him.  Instead, we packed up
and headed to Parowan for the holiday.  We sent Shane's Easter treats with him...Jerky & Jelly Belly's.  (Yes, Carole he still likes that Easter tradition) We had a great weekend in Parowan.  Fun to see everyone!
Tony, Grandpa & Kendal

Kade's 1st attempt on the 4-wheeler...scared to death!
"Look what I found!"

The most aggressive egg hunter.
Getting instructions for the hunt.
Assessing the loot with Grandpa.

Erin and her tie-dyed egg.
Kade decorating eggs & sportin' the helmet he wore all day...backwards too!
Fun night out with Gina.  Don't get to see each other near enough.

Just me & my dad

Hi...this is Kade here.  Monday afternoon I overheard my dad on the phone with my Uncle Brian. He was offering my dad the Jazz tickets.  "I want to go see the Jazz Bear please!"   It is hard to turn down a request from such a cute kid.  So dad & I loaded up and headed to Salt Lake for a night out to see the Raptors & the Jazz play.
Dad was great.  He took me to dinner before the game and then I had my own Sprite & managed to finish off a package of Red Vines during the game.   A highlight of the night was getting to see the Jazz Bear.  He wasn't scary.  I also enjoyed those Jazz dancers.  Dad kept clapping and yelling (at the game, not at the dancers...well, that is what I told mom anyway).
Thanks dad for a fun night out.  I hope to do it again.  Goooo Jazz!

After overhearing Shane on the phone on the way home concerning why Memo & Boozer left the game:

Kade:      "What happened to Carlos Boozer?"
                 "Did he frow up?"

Shane:    "No, Memo had the flu.  Carlos Boozer hurt his back."

Kade:      "Oh.  What happened to Carlos Boozer?"

(This was the conversation, over & over & over on the way home)

Oh happy day!

Just received word that my GS cookie order has shipped from Indiana, by my favorite Girl Scout...Miss Madison Edwards.  I can taste the Samoas now. (I like mine frozen) I might share...if you are lucky.

What I learned in Las Vegas...

  • Real life Bratz dolls do exist...saw one in Planet Hollywood.  Where are these girl's mothers when they leave the house?
  • Best BBQ in Vegas is Lucille's and fried dill pickles are well..."fun" as our waiter put it.
  • It is possible for me to go to numerous shoe stores and not buy 1 pair of shoes...was I feeling ok?
  • STDs are running rampant on the strip. Right JoAnn?  Good thing for hand sanitizer.
  • A certain someone saws logs.
  • Vanessa doubles as a GPS.
  • Juno was well...funny but not exactly the cheese to my macaroni.  We were all feeling bad for LeAnn knowing that she was on a first date the same night to see Juno.  A little awkward?
  • Someone really needs to open a Panera Bread here in Utah.
  • Vanessa got a history lesson on Abercrombie & Fitch camping gear from her flamboyant friend she met in line @ H & M.
  • Buying the Kademan a "CARS" t-shirt now means that he wants to wear it everyday...clean or dirty!

Forgot my camera but check out Vanessa's blog for pics.
Had a fun-filled weekend.  Hope to do it again!
