Wii are the champions!

Saturday afternoon we traveled to Farmington to get together with some of the Edwards' brothers. Our initial plan to meet on Christmas Eve was cancelled due to the snowy weather. We had a great time visiting, eating (Cafe Rio...yum) and watching the Olympics competition on the Wii. (Sorry I missed the swimming event and the full body shake by Brian)
Kade had a fun time running around and shooting hoops with Charlie & Chris. It was fun to get these little boys together to play!

Belated Christmas

Shane can hardly contain his excitement for his (our) Christmas gift. Yes, it has been on our list for along time. It will be very nice for me when Shane is gone and I need to clear the driveway. Haven't had a tutorial on it yet, so the new snow we got today will have to wait to be cleared until Shane gets home tomorrow afternoon. He can't wait to put it to use!

What I loved about Christmas this year:

Kade confusing Jesus and Santa.

The excitement every morning when Kade saw the snow...like it was the first time. "Hey Mom, it's snow!"

Watching the Grinch and Charlie Brown's Christmas special with the Kademan. (over and over and over)

Hot wassail and white chocolate peppermint bark.

Sugar cookies for breakfast...several times!

Christmas pjs and coordinating church clothes...thanks Grandma Munson. Kendal loves her red shoes. Start her young!

Taking nearly 2 hrs to open gifts Christmas morning...distracted 2 year old!

Lightning McQueen trike and anything "Cars" racing around the house.

Dad's Jazz basketball hoop.

Special care package from Louisville, KY. Thanks Elder & Sister Edwards. :-)

Day after Christmas shopping @ Tai Pan...50% off. Whooo hoo.

Having Shane home for the holidays.

Happy 34th Erika!

Happy Birthday Erita (as Kade would say).
Hope you had a fun birthday. Dinner at Carrabbas was delish!
Thanks for getting us all together and thank you for all that you do for my little family.
Happy Happy Birthday!

HO HO HO

Our Santa visit at RC Willey was much better than waiting in line at the mall.
(We tagged along with Grandma & Grandpa Munson while they did some shopping)
Kendal was happy to smile for the camera.
Kade just wanted the candy cane and then he was outta there!

Don't Fence Me In

Hank & Boo may be singing this song...but we couldn't be more thrilled to have the fence in place! No more chasing Boo down the road when I let her out in the morning and Hank will have some time to run outside of his kennel during the day.
Kade will love the freedom of being able to play outside and mom won't have to worry about him wondering off. Woo hoo!

Is this normal?

Kade asked for some grape tomatoes yesterday and Shane gave him the full new carton to snack from...10 minutes later I realized he had downed the whole carton except the few left in the picture. Kids are not supposed to like tomatoes like that are they? I can tell you this much...his diapers have not been normal today. Poor little guy!

Good Christmas read

Just finished this book-many of you have probably already read it. The book is called "Christmas Jars" and Jason Wright is the author of this pay it forward type story. Real easy read and you won't be disappointed. (and don't forget a Kleenex or two)Highly recommended! Picked mine up at Costco.

Batting Practice

For Family Night it was too cold to go to the ballpark, so we decided to have batting practice in the basement. Shane has set up his own indoor practice facility downstairs and Kade is loving it. You had better be heads up when he starts swinging! Shane says that he is working on his retirement.

Tis The Season

Saturday night we loaded up the family and headed to Spanish Fork in the snowstorm. We ate a quick dinner at Wingers and then went to see the Spanish Fork "Festival of Lights."
Kade had such a great time we made the loop twice and then he cried when we left. Kendal was also crying and was tired of the carseat. Shane and I tried to calm the noise by singing "Rudolph" but were heckled by the Kademan..."Stop it duys (guys), you are too loud." He did not enjoy our singing I guess!
